Haunted House:

There are some houses, land or property which seem haunted. Haunted in the sense that the residents are perpetually ill, feel unhappy or depressed, report seeing or hearing abnormal things, feel presence of negative energy, feel irritated or suicidal, land whose construction doesn’t get started in spite of trying or where construction activity is stuck over years. On such property, vastu remedies either do not work at all or work in a very limited way. Such cases require special attention and remedies. Listed below are some remedies which will bring significant improvement in the condition of such property. Once these remedies are done, only then proper vastu consultation should be availed for best results.

1)     Cleaning: The property should be cleared of all the unwanted items like broken/unused glass, metal, utensils, toys, clothes, wood, rusted pipes, unused puja items etc. Try to get rid of as many things as possible.

2)     Salt: Throw natural salt (like mota Namak, sea salt, rock salt) on the entire property. Let the salt be on the ground for at least 1 hour before cleaning it with a broom. Repeat this activity daily as long as required.

3)     Mopping: Put lots of neem leaves in mopping water. Let the neem leaves be in water overnight and mop the floor with this water the next day.

4)     Burning: Take a metal or ceramic bowl. Keep some hawan samagri, cow ghee and bhimseni kapur (that means original kapur, not the synthetic kapur available in market). Burn all these together to form fumes and keep it approximately in the middle of the property.

5)     Alum: Crush the alum and keep it in different parts of the property. Change this Alum every week and throw it away the old one.

6)     Conch: Buy a big size shankh/conch. Blow the conch on the property everyday at least once. Blowing of conch pushes away negativity significantly.

7)     Holy Water: Take a few drops of ganga water in a bowl or bottle. After that, fill the bowl or bottle with normal water. Spread this water on the property.  

8)     Holy Ash: Bring ash from a shiv temple or from a havan. Spread this ash on the property.

9)     Deepak: Burn pure cow ghee deepak with cotton wick (original cotton, not the wick bought from market or made from doctor’s cotton roll) and keep it approximately at the center of the property.

10)  Holy Chant: It is best to recite holy chants or organize a kirtan or Satsang. If that is not possible, play recorded chants on mobile or speaker. Chants related to Shiva are NOT preferred. Chants related to Hanuman are best, especially Bajrang baan and Hanuman chalisa. Chants of Vishnu like Vishnu Sahasranamam can also be played or recited.

11)  Holy Person: Live presence of a true holy person (NOT the fake guru, pandit or brahman) can significantly reduce the negativity of the place.

12)  Cow: In vastu shastra, special significance is given to cows. If possible, walking of desi cows on the property can bring immense prosperity. If this is not possible, try to bring dung and urine of desi cows which have not fallen on earth yet. Use the cow dung and urine to clean the property. If this is also not possible, burn dried cow dung cake on the property.

13)  House Entry: Make a swastika of Cow dung on both sides of the house entry. If there are more than one entry, make a swastika of cow dung on each entry. If swastika of cow dung is not possible, make a swastika of black color like from coal, kajal or if nothing else is possible, from black sketch pen.

These remedies are potent but at the same time general in nature. It is not necessary that these remedies be applied in the case of haunted houses only, everyone can do these remedies from time to time.

It is important to note that these remedies are NOT alternate to vastu. Think of these steps as remedies that will bring positivity into the space. Getting vastu done will increase this positivity manifold.
